I (Joe Don) started working with my dad (Joe) at 5 Dad was a remodeling contractor in Dallas Texas, I followed him around on job sites learning and picking up the trade at age 8 I know I wanted to be a plumber when I grew up, my childhood friends dad was a master plumber and I loved getting to see Mr. Lee on the job and would work with him every chance I got.
At 17 I finally got to work full time for Mr. Lee till he closed his company when I was 18. At that point, Mr. Lee helped me get a job with one of the biggest plumbing companies in North Texas at the time and I worked there for 6 years.
I got my Texas master plumbing license when I was 23, and after leaving the large plumbing company I started my own in 2009. That company is still going in north Texas but I moved to Little Rock in 2021 and got my Arkansas master plumbing license and started the rock plumbing. One thing Mr. Lee taught me was to always push myself to do better.
And because of Mr. Lee’s training in both plumbing and life skills, I have become who I am today I am extremely really grateful for everything he and my dad taught me. Mr. Lee and I remain great friends to this day. And my dad is here in Arkansas working with me. I hope someday to leave a legacy that both of those men have left and are still working on.
